Gardening is the way to live on Norfolk Island

Those who live on Norfolk Island love their garden. There is the Valley Nursery on Rocky Point Rd (Norfolk Island), open on Sundays between 8:30am - 12:30pm, to help. There are stacks of herbs, vegie seedlings, flower seedlings, and LOADS of plants for sale. Visit them on facebook.

A short Norfolk Island holiday

The cruise ship The World visited NI today. The World is a private cruise ship with a difference - it is a residential community owned by its residents. The community live on-board as the ship travels the globe. The passengers arrived early today, and were all on-island by 9am. Some went on tours, others hired a car for the day. Here are some photos from this short Norfolk Island holiday.

We are a family of three kids, James (6), Amy (11) & Daniel (13). Our kids have been brought up in remote locations, that includes Kakadu, Arnhem Land, Bickerton Island (slightly bigger than Norfolk), Central Desert and now at the top of Cape York, and all have been schooled in remote schools.

I started life on a farm, drove trucks and other stuff and then became a mechanic, for the last 7 years have been in remote retail.

My wife also is doing retail management, the ‘management’ has been over last 6 years.
